It is a revealing look at the business and rituals of big-time stand-up comedy. While occasionally it veers too deep into the details of the diva's life (I don't care about her shoes, cars, or house), it well documents the development of her career (especially the impact of her idol, Bob Hope), and her trailblazing for a generation of female comedians.
